USHERS

Responsibilities
The duties of ushers include greeting people as they enter the church, seating people at the proper time, and providing bulletins and/or other materials at the time of entrance or seating.  Ushers will be attentive to the needs of the congregation and the pastor,

The chair, or co-Chairs, are responsible for securing ushers for regular services, and for special services such as funerals, associational meetings, musical concerts, holiday programs, and other events.

Term of Office
The Nominating Committee nominates candidates to serve as ushers, and to serve as the committee Chair or co-Chairs.  The candidates are elected by the church in September for a term of one year, beginning October 1.
