Prayer Shawl Ministry
The prayer shawl ministry was created to provide another means of ministering to people and letting them know they are "wrapped in prayer and love". Crocheted and knitted shawls are made and given to those who have prayer needs - people who have lost loved ones, who are facing surgery, or serious illness, who are homebound or in the hospital. Baby blankets are made for new mothers. All the shawls and blankets have been created with prayer - members pray before they begin, and while they are working on their projects that whoever will receive the shawl will be blessed. The group meets on the first Thursday of each month to share projects, offer help and instructions to new crafters, and to pray for the recipients of the shawls. Please join us - if you don't know how to knit or crochet, we will gladly teach you. If you already knit or crochet, please come and share patterns and ideas. If you don't craft, but enjoy visiting people, please help deliver shawls. You will find that you are blessed many times over.
