Rebekah Sunday School Class

The Rebekah Class had its beginning in the early fifties and was designed to be a class for young married and single women from the ages of twenty-five to thirty. This class came into being as a result of changes made in two other classes. We are now a class of thirty-five on roll and have moved from the young married, single women to a Senior Women's Class of 60+ years. We come together each Sunday in new roles from our beginnings and are now grandmothers, great aunts, and older sisters. The Rebekah Class now has women that are married, widowed, divorced, and single. We are a great blend of knowledge and wisdom from years of growing and life's experiences we have learned to deal with. We believe we are an ideal class for any ladies that need fellowship, understanding, and Bible study. We welcome you! Our class is an active class involving missions of all types. We make donations to various charities such as: Surry Medical Ministries, Yokefellow, Food Pantry, and the Salvation Army. We make contributions to Lifeline in memory of our deceased members. We also send cards and monetary gifts to several college students. Monetary gifts are also given to CBF Missions, Joanne Jordan Thanksgiving Meals, WMU Food Harvest, and where needs of our church and our members are known. Breakfast twice or more a year is part of our fellowship with one another. Some of us have husbands in the E. G. Wynne Sunday School Class which allows us fellowship with one another during their covered dish/cookout during the latter part of the summer. We keep in touch through birthday cards, the prayer chain, group captains list, phone calls, and visits. We are blessed with three outstanding and dedicated teachers and feel that anyone would benefit spiritually through joining us on Sundays for Bible study.
