E. G. Wynne Sunday School Class

We are a senior men's class. Our approximate age is 75. We have 15 men on roll and average around 12 to 13 members each Sunday. Our class is named for a former and now deceased member. Many of our members grew up in Sunday school here at First Baptist Church. We have raised our children here, have served on many committees within the church, and continue to be active where needed. We work in various ways with the local missions and help with Angel Tree at Christmas. During Christmas, we also adopt three families to provide them with needed items and gifts to help their Christmas be happier than it may have been without our help. A number of members are silent-good Samaritans throughout the year where a need arises. The Eckerd Boys Camp has been an ongoing project of ours for a number of years. Our class also sponsors one to two college students during the school year. We participate in November with the Joanne Jordan Thanksgiving Meals Project and also sponsor several small children who need help during the Christmas season. Our class tries to meet for breakfast once or twice a year along with having a get-together at one of our member's mountain cabin. At this event, we invite our wives to join us for the covered dish/cookout. The E. G. Wynne class is fortunate to have five dedicated and well-prepared teachers. Our Bible studies are 'round the table' open discussions. When we need to make contact someone, it is usually by phone or e-mail.
